Eating

I just suddenly had this random thought: I can't cook. I'm a 17 year old and the best thing I can make is Instant Noodles and microwave dinners. So I guess I'm going to live on those foods for the rest of my life. Anyone here like this too?

I eat burnt toast and eggs sunny side up for breakfast. (aka- I can't cook to fill my stomach but I still fill it with whatever crap my cooking "attempts" turn out to be.)

i can cook a little bit... well, not really. just eggs and spaghetti. good enough

i can sorta cook. my parents never eat the things I make though, just to give you an idea.

I love cooking.

Come over and I'll make you a gourmet meal (three courses).

Don't worry - I'm a GIRL and I haven't even ever made a batch of cookies by myself.

Lately I have been eating the same foods everyday:

Breakfast: 2 Weetabix in oat milk
Lunch: apple, orange, cranberries
Dinner: spinach salad w/ walnuts, cranberries, and olive oil

Now that my parents are divorced and my mum always works, I'm alone at home without cooking skills - not enough time to learn how to cook much so I eat the above foods everyday. I get by.

well, when you're in college and you're on some kind of college meal plan, then you would have some choices. Then again, it depends on the college and their quality of food. For some of them, you might be better off with your instant noodles and microwave dinners :)

lol I'm 16, a girl and I can't cook at all.
I mean I tried to make some cookies yesterday and even my bro didn't eat them(((

Glad to know I'm not the only one.
I guess the demand for instant/microwave-able food would increase in the next few years when this generation move away from parents. :)

Today, I have been eating this cracker thing the whole day because we are out of instant noodles.

Even though I don't cook I still try to eat a well balanced meal. It sounds like you eat alot of very refined carbohydrate rich foods...Try to eat some nutritional foods. You can eat raw fruits and veggies!

Since I barely eat, I take alot of supplements.

I eat lots of things that don't really require cooking- fruits, veggies, nuts, etc.
I can make things with noodles- pasta, mac and cheese, etc.
Since I don't eat meat, I'm not too worried about being able to cook. Most of my diet can be raw food, except for the noodles obviously lol.

My parents stopped cooking for me when I was about 11, so I've had to fend for myself. It's honestly not too difficult. I've survived 6+ years on my cooking, which is horrific. If I can do it, anybody can do it.

I can cook, and I'm a guy. I make food myself all the time, let's just say I'm not spoiled or in the best circumstances (not implying anything here, just the way it is).

I can cook I just don't like to. I just learned actually. I told my mom I wanted to know how to cook before I go to college so she began teaching me. But I'm too lazy to cook at home. The only time I cook is if my mom forces me to.

lol i can't cook anything.. my mom has been on me lately so i put oil in the pan n put something in that i didnt know n it came out burnt lol the fire alaram went off. after that she came off my case but i can live on noodles and ice-cream all my life

Once you move out and realize that you can't and don't want to live on these foods forever, you'll force yourself to learn how to cook. It'll naturally happen.

i can cook, and i'm actually good at it.
soup is pretty easy to make from scratch: broth, some meat, veggies... let it simmer and dig in.

i am a pretty good cook, but i just decided im going to get my mom to teach me before i go away to college, shes an amazing cook and i dont want to leave without learning

What's there to learn about cooking? You find a recipe, do what it tells you, and you're all set.
