EC question

I was a state champion/national finalist at an academic competition in junior high. The competition is for 4th-8th grade only. Do ECs during junior high count for college, because this one is pretty important to me heh.

Unless one had an extremely unusual EC before h.s. such as being start of a sitcom or something, colleges don't care. They care a lot, however, about what you have done in h.s. because those activities are more likely to reflect what you'll offer to the college if you become a student there.

Usually college don't consider any Ec's outside of highschool. On my resume I did include a national dance scholarship I won in middle school, but since I've been dancing for 12 years I figured it would just show what I had already accomplished at a younger age. I'd say if it's an Ec that you've continud in some related way during highschool it might not hurt, but don't put it at the top of your list.
