Econ Masters programs

Hi everyone,

I am currently an Undergrad at the University of Washington finishing up my third year

I am double majoring in Economics and Political Science

I made the mistake of not taking nearly enough Math courses to apply for a Phd, and think that a 1-2 year masters program would open up some doors for me. I did very well on my GRE, have some research experience, and will graduate with a little above a 3.5 gpa. Any advice of what road to go down? I would really like to head to a masters program right out of my undergrad, but am worried it will be a waste of time because I will not be able to get into a decent school. Do you know any good masters programs that fit my qualifications?

All advice is very much appreciated.

I’d apply to MA programs that also have a Ph.D. program. If you’re taking classes that the doctoral students have to take (and do well in them), this is a strong signal that you can handle the coursework of a Ph.D. program. The fact that you have research experience works in your favor immensely.
