[Econ Ph.d] Uncertain of chances at schools

<p>One of the scariest things I’ve heard from my professor was, “It will be interesting to see what schools you’ll get into given your background…” </p>

<p>And, I do think it will be interesting to see what schools I’ll get into given my background (theres probably another huge + under research, it’s just not econ related)… As for right now, dead week began and studying for finals/sending out apps is all i’ll be doing :(</p>

<p>I don’t know the status of the LORs for my D. Now that’s she’s back at school after Thanksgiving break, I’m not in the thick of the process. She did tell me that the letters started trickling in late on November 30 and continued on December 1. Are they all in now? I have no idea.</p>

<p>This is crunch time I think <em>sigh</em></p>

<p>My son’s professors turned in their LORs in time - actually well before time, since the deadline for one of the applications is Dec 15th. Thank God for that! He did bug them (sent email) until they completed their LORs. </p>
