<p>Not necessarily. I'm not sure about other schools, but at Carnegie Mellon they have multiple majors under the Philosophy department. Double Majoring in something like Logic and Computation along with Economics may be very useful if you want to pursue trading or another such career which requires similar analytical skills. Look into it at the specific school you want to go to.</p>
<p>If you look hard enough you'll see that any two majors are connected. Thus is life.</p>
