Economics at SAS vs. Economics at SEBS

I know the SAS is just Econ. and the SEBS you choose and Envirnomental route or Business route.

My question is, which was is if so, if the better degree? Most job apps for these types of jobs claim a Finance or Econ. degree let's say, does the SEBS one count like that? Also how much Math is in the SEBS route? Im in SEBS now and I want to switch to Econ, but im unsure on whether to just stick in this school and do the Environ/Bus. or transfer to SAS.

Does it really matter? It’s all Rutgers.

I would assume it does.

SEBS I believe you don’t need to take Econometrics and more classes tailored towards the business side. I still believe you need to Calc, though, not sure.

Also, when I applied in the Spring, I was accepted to both SAS and SEBS and chose SEBS which I regret since I want to go back To Econ.

Is it true I now need to reapply to SAS? That is ridiculous.

Yes you have to reapply to SAS but it shouldn’t be a problem if your GPA is good.

I see…

Now im actually thinking, should I just stay in SEBS and do the Business Economics option? Im not very good in math, so SAS Econ. is most likely heavy on the calc/stat once you get into the Upper Level classes.

Why don’t you go to the website and compare major requirements for each school? That would answer your questions about calc.

Yeah, I just did.

Im going to just stay in SEBS and do the Business Econ. option. The classes seem more geared towards what I want to do, since it’s more business related classes with Econ classes sprinkled in.
