Economics BBA at UGA?

Hello,

I am interested in getting a BBA in Economics at UGA. After graduation, I plan on working for a couple years and eventually getting my MBA for a top program (hopefully). I like to do Economics because it gives you a range of options (MBA, Law, etc..) and it is more intellectual than business. However, I know that UGA is not very well known for it's Economics program. Is that true? How would my future Job prospects, starting and mid-career income, and MBA or Law school options be with a BBA in Economics. Also would it be wiser to major in something else or double major at Terry College (for example Finance or International business).

By the way, I am currently a student at Georgia State and I'm planning on transferring. I am also considering Industrial Engineering at Georgia Tech. What do you guys think about that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Can anyone help?

I’d love to give you more information but I just transferred here. I’m a business major. The best thing for you to do is to speak to an advisor in the Economics dept if you want more information.
