How strong is the economics major @ JHU? What schools would you compare it to? Is it good enough for someone who wants to go into a business related field?

I was also wondering. I want to apply to John Hopkins but I don't know if the econ department is strong or not?

I graduated last year from the math and econ departments. What would you like to know? What are you trying to get out of the department (a springboard to a PhD? training to work in an investment bank? Background to pursue policy? Just a working knowledge of economics?) My answer to your question will depend very much on your answer to mine.
