Economics oos transfer?

I live in Florida and have had Georgetown as my top 5 to transfer for some time now. I attend a CC at the moment. I’ll also have my associates by the time I would transfer. I have quite a few W’s on my transcripts, but that was due to medical reasoning which I plan to explain on my application.

My stats are:

GPA: 3.4, Deans list spring 2016.

Test scores: Didn’t take and seen they aren’t necessary because of associates.

EC at school:
Gay-Straight Alliance
Students for Liberty
President of Young Americans for Liberty
(Very few clubs at my school)

LOR:
Economics professor
Missouri Senate Candidate (maybe)

Outside of school:
Worked for a presidential candidate during the 2016 campaign.
Working for a Senate candidate out of Missouri.(in progress)
Ice Hockey Goalie that has played for various clubs and has been ranked in state (if this helps at all)

So, hopefully, this gives some insight. By the time I turn in my application, I’ll have a 3.4 GPA, but I should have a 3.5-3.6 minimum after my last semester. Let me know if there anything I could do to strengthen my application too if possible. I know Georgetown is a big reach, but I thought why not.

I know that Georgetown really likes to hear specific reasons from transfer applicants about why they want to transfer to Georgetown (i.e. what can Georgetown offer that other places can’t?).

Also, I think you’re mistaken re: testing requirements. According to Georgetown’s website, the standardized test requirement is only waived for students who graduated from high school 5+ years ago: https://uadmissions.georgetown.edu/transfer/test-scores

i’d recommend arranging to take the SAT/ACT in January.
