Economics PhD Program Admissions

Hey Everyone!

I am a current junior at Wellesley and am an Economics major. I have a GPA of 3.0, but 3.5 within the Econ dept. I have taken classes from Jerry Hausman at MIT and work as Esther Duflo's RA currently. I have perfect GRE scores but am seriously concerned with my low GPA and am afraid it will prevent me from being accepted to programs. I would ideally like to be at Penn, Georgetown, or Brown but am not sure that these are in my reach. If someone more knowledgeable than me could asses my chances I would really appreciate.

I am trying to figure out if I should "go for it" or consider a job after undergrad.

Thanks!
