any Econ majors that deal less with math? and pertain toward macroeconomic style economics? i mean i love math, and i find it shamfully easy, but i dont want to be a god damn accountant. i loved macro because it dealt with philosphy of economics.

I have a feeling you don't really know what being an accountant means.

Intermediate economics has lots of math (both micro and macro).

I know what you mean abe (although I really hate math). I love the theory side of economics, hence the reason why I was an Econ Major during college. I along with the math comes the theory that ties it all together, which made it interesting for me.

Accounting is pretty much arithmetic and algebra. In economics, you'll be dealing with calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, etc. If you find that stuff "shamefully easy," then you should try taking graduate level (Ph.D) courses. Either that, or you must be very good with your advanced economics/math.

i find it kind of hard to believe that someone who believes math to be "shamefully easy" has a hard time gettin over a 480 on the SAT?... yes the SAT is only a test, but still come on... i think its very unfair and ignorant to belittle accounting w/out giving any evidence as to why.... this is a business forum.. a third of the ppl here are going into accounting or at least a large amount are.. you dont ask help from ppl you dont give respect to.. thats not too bright of a thing to do.. just a thought
