How prestigious is RPI in economics? How are the economics professors at RPI? Do economic students that graduate from RPI get good jobs and/or into good grad schools?

I don't believe RPI is very prestigious at all in terms of economics. I mean, yes they have the major and they give in a very analytical perspective (with math and whatnot) because it is primarily a STEM school. meaning they don't teach economics like liberal arts schools which basically fluff it up. but I wouldn't consider RPI "prestigious" with economics, but personally I were an economics major I would choose a STEM school over a liberal arts school to do it.

however I don't know much about the department. This is all educated assumption. basically I don't even know enough to answer your other questions at all but I'm sure someone on here will have more info.
