I would say you have a very good chance at ED I. There are no guarantees at selective schools, but what you have pretty much checks all the boxes as far as quantitative stats, and depth/breadth of extracurriculars. From here, I would just advise you to really concentrate on making your personal statement and any additional essays really well written and put together, and reflective of unique aspects of your personality. This will amalgamate and put the finishing touches on your application as a whole. If your essays are good, your chances are excellent.

Thanks @fdgjfg ! I am working on my essays and they really seem to reflect my personality and I think they are coming out really well! I really appreciate your input, hopefully the essays will help! Thanks again!

@Pugs1798 I think you have a very good chance at ED. Besides your own essay, be thinking of who else will be writing essays on your behalf. You really want to ask people that can do a good job.

@Work2Live Of course! My AP Biology teach absolutely adores me because I took her class as a sophomore and people aren’t allowed to do that. She wrote in another rec “In my 28 years of teaching, I have seen few students at as high of a caliber as her” And she was my science team sponsor where I have performed well too! Another teach was my ap chem teacher who i have a great relationship, we joke around a lot but he also knows how hard I work (he rounded my grade in the class up even when i didn’t ask him to and teachers are not supposed to do that). I have been talking to my counselor a lot and he knows me very well! He is also the NHS sponsor where I play a huge role as well. So I would say Im not worried about my recommendations. Im still working hard on my own essays though. Thanks for the input!

Do i have any chance at Vanderbilt with an SAT of only 2090?

@acollegebound198 To be honest I don’t know much about the SAT and what colleges expect. I live in the midwest and only took the ACT and SAT Subject Tests. From what I’ve heard, Vanderbilt stresses more on standard tests than other selective schools, but if the rest of your app is amazing I’m sure you’ll be fine! Good Luck!
