ED application confirmation?

Question for other ED applicants: My daughter sent in her ED application to GW on Wednesday evening (Nov.8). Does anyone know if she will receive an email confirmation of receipt?

Also, unless we got it wrong, the application fee cannot be paid online with a credit card but must be paid by check sent via snail mail. Seems odd to submit both application and supplement online but not the application fee....We were told that as long as the check is postmarked by the due date (Nov. 10), it would be fine.

i applied online and paid the application fee online with a credit card...

as far as confirmation e-mails, i received one a few minutes after i submitted part two on tuesday night.

I paid with a credit card as well. When you sent Part 1 of the app, didn't it have an option to pay with a credit card?

I also received an email after I sent my application. I got it as soon as I sent it.

I didn't pay online after submitting the first part because I was actually unsure of whether I was going to apply or not (I applied as a Spring Transfer). I'm kind of worried now...does anyone know exactly who we were supposed to make the check out to? Just GWU, or their office of admissions?

I applied EDI online and got an online confirmation as soon as I sent it in. I sent an email to the admissions officer who did my interview to confirm everything else a few days later. He emailed me back the next day and told me that everything was in and ready for review. If anyone did interviews, I would suggest emailing the officer that did the interview.

I applied ED using the common app and didn't get an email conformation but I don't think you get one if you use Common App.

Did anyone receive any sort of confirmation yet for ED apps?

I didn't receive anything, but try calling the undergrad office to make sure they got all of your things.

I got confirmation they got everything and a user id where i can track application progress yesterday

I've just received my GWid as well so I can check my status.

as did i....

My daughter got her ID number today, too. What a relief! Her counselor forgot to include the Early Decision contract in the original packet with teacher recs and transcripts, so she faxed it to GW just yesterday. Human error, but caused a bit of a panic. GW admissions staff seem friendly and helpful. Even called us back to clarify a point.

He said they would send decisions out by mail around Dec. 15. He wasn't sure if they'd send email notifications.

Yeah I got mine just now. But I'm worried about one thing. It says that it has not received my standardized test scores. On October 7th, I requested that the College Board send my SAT scores to GWU, and they say that scores are sent 3 to 5 weeks afterwards. But it's been longer than that....what's going on?

I applied nov. 14th and only received my confirmation yesterday.
Weird.

JPRG1966 - Call collegeboard to make sure they sent it. I hear there's been some problems sending them.

there have definitely been problems sending test scores (or GW losing them). i payed some ridiculous sum to have my scores rush-delivered around nov. 1, giving them plenty of time (i thought) to arrive ahead of the deadline. my adviser called last week to confirm theyd gotten everything. they didnt have the test scores, so she had to fax them to GW. frustrating.

GWU's admissions office seems totally disorganized. I never received my GWU ID# after submitting my app a month ago. I also applied for the Spring 2007 Term but my parents said they didn't want me transferring in the middle of the year (potential complications with loans) so I never submitted my application fee. GWU never even asked or sent me anything asking for my application fee.

BTW, how much is the application fee? I don't see it anywhere on the website.
