My parents went to a meeting this morning and, when leaving, they saw that no newspapers had been delivered and that no mail had come. I woke up around 11am. My mom told me that they mail usually doesn’t come until later on Saturdays (maybe even 3pm, which is late for us), so I’ve been sitting on my couch watching for the mailman to come. Around 1pm-ish, I decided to go check because I noticed the newspapers were there. We ended up not having a newspaper OR mail, so I was like . . . whatever.

My parents came home, checked the mail, looked into the mailboxes on either side of ours (sketchy, I know, LOL), and saw that those two people have their mail and their newspaper, but the mail has never ever come before 11am.

So I’m just SUPER confused and agitated right now. I suspect that, if I did get accepted, I won’t have a letter until Monday, but still. It’s kind of been a w-t-f? hour.

:( sorry wej. i checked the mail, saw about 7 holiday cards, two bills, and no letter. apparently some parts of new york heard today! (no one from jerz appears to have heard…)

Wej, you live in Minnesota, right? I would be extremely surprised if a letter, even if its an acceptance, came to you by today. Tuesday seems much more likely.

Actually for ED sometimes the letters are small because they send all of the acceptance info later. Dunno how Barnard does it though.

If anyone doesn’t get in and is feeling really discouraged, you’re welcome to message me and I will gladly talk things out/give you a little perspective both as someone who had my fair share of ED rejections and as a Barnard insider. For real.

Good luck, '14. Try to forget about the mail. Go enjoy this beautiful winter day!

I checked the mail this morning (it comes early on saturdays, like 10:30) and it included a bill and three pieces of college mail from SCHOOLS I DON’T WANT TO GO TO nor did I apply to. Sooo that sort of spoiled my mood, but I was pretty sure I wouldn’t get it until Monday anyways. I have never been so freaked out in my life. Wej, I feel sick to. Whenever I think about it my stomach does flips. I can’t imagine how it will feel if I don’t get anything by Monday. Normally I tutor freshman in math everyday after school, but I think I’ll just run home Monday haha. Ummm yeah. UGH.
