ed/ea question

i was just wondering:
what are all the schools that provide EA (early action) that is non binding? Can I apply ED to somewhere and also apply EA to some other schools in case my ED choice defers me?

All EA schools are non-binding (only ED is binding). The SCEA schools are also non-binding; the only (main or only?) difference between SCEA and EA, is that SCEA does not allow you to apply early to another school.

ok, thanks, but i'm having trouble finding all the schools that provide EA... know of any?

As far as I know (check your facts before you apply)

SCEA

Harvard
Yale
Stanford
Georgetown

EA

MIT
U of Chicago
Caltech
-Plus a host of other schools that are not as competitive. You can check US News website, I don't know if am allowed to post the link, but they have a list of all of the Early Action schools. You have to check to see if it's EA or SCEA though.

thanks tahoe
