<p>Just recd email offering admission at Macalester College.</p>
<p>Havent posted for a while, got into Northwestern ED!</p>
<p>Accepted to University of Washington. Also received an email from UCLA inviting for an event in april which looks like a likely letter type. God knows.</p>
<p>But this process is affecting my board studies.</p>
<p>Yes I think the idea is how well you perform under pressure. Get used to it. Most of you will land in a classroom of students who are just like you in terms of capability. So if you are going from a current class where you are in top 10-25 percent, wait till you get there. In the first semester you will know whether you belong in top 50 or bottom 50 percent. And then on it will be constant pressure to beat that or stay there. So good luck with stepping into the world of adulthood.</p>

<p>I am a parent, Yes. Tiger mom…Naaahh…Do you think it is possible in today’s day and age to be a tiger mom. Sounds little far-fetched to me, in my household at least. But I do have a tigeress D, who is quite clear what she wants and how to go about whilst keeping her and our sanity intact, inspite of, despite the innumerable discussions and debates and arguements that happened at the time she was applying for college. I do not know how or what gave you the idea of “Asian Parent”, I am definitely an involved parent, a species that can be found all over the world.</p>
