<p>I know that Duke says that it only gives around 20-25 need-based aid packages to international students so would applying ED for financial aid almost guarantee a rejection/ deferred application? (Note : that one of my major goals is simply to be accepted to a good American university)
Also, If you were in my situation would you apply ED to Duke?</p>

<p>I would apply ED if it’s really where you want to go, but if you need aid it’s a little tricky … Only you can say what’s right for you though! Good luck!</p>

<p>There are some US Universities that give out good aid to internationals. If you really need aid, ED is not the best way to go.</p>
<p>Hmm somewhat disappointing but useful advice. Duke was really my first choice but needing FA and having really sub-par Test scores coming from an English speaking country i guess ruins my chances at ED.
