Medill at Northwestern is the obvious suggestion. Chicago is an easy flight from Boston - more accessible than lots of other schools that are within your radius.

Medill is a top notch journalism school. And Northwestern meets full need (as they calculate it to be).
Run their net price calculator and see if your net cost would be affordable to your parents.
Are your parents divorced? Do they own a business or are they self employed? Do they own real estate in addition to your primary residence? If NO to these questions, the NPCs will give you a decent estimate of your net costs at the colleges. Run them…and see if they will be affordable.
Vassar could be a good option, but of course they don’t have journalism. You could major in English or political science or both. Lots of great writing experience there.
So many great schools mentioned here, but my vote hands down would be Medill Northwestern, as long as the OP thinks it’s a good fit and affordable.
My daughter at Barnard became involved as one of the editors at one of the undergraduate journals published at Columbia University. Given the size of a major university, there are quite many publications, some with surprising production value.
