<p>Are the people who apply to Brown ED usually stronger or weaker applicants than RD?</p>
<p>It's hard to say. Some ED applicants are the legacies, which affect acceptance rates of other non-legacies. Some are the athletes who are recruited and some are the URM... depends who you're really up against. Usually people who apply ED are the ones who KNOW they want to go to this particular school and I assume they're involved with the whole college process so... they're not complete idiots when it comes to applying. And then you have the kids who apply ED because the acceptance rates increase, so while they know they love this school, their scores/ECs/Recs etc. may be under-par and are only applying ED in order to "increase their chances..." And of course you have the kids who apply ED because its "the cool thing to do now"</p>
