ED strategy

<p>Out of the top 30 schools in the country, which are known for giving significant boost for applying early decision.</p>

<p>I am not a legacy, and after looking at my schools stats at getting kids into Penn Ed, no one has gotten in</p>

<p>where do you live. A lot of top schools, don’t give ED preference to kids in the area, but instead look negatively on area kids applying RD</p>

<p>I go to a public school in Ct in an affluent town an hour from NYC</p>

<p>so most likely not applying ED/EA to columbia or Yale would hurt your chances.</p>

<p>What’s your top choice college?</p>

<p>I was thinking maybe cornell, northwestern, stern, michigan, but chicago is my top choice. However, Chicago only has EA, so I want to maximize my chances at another college considering that I a “sub par” applicant at these schools. Aka, SAT 2150 and GPA 3.6 with 2 aps ( 5 senior year tho).</p>
