Ed

So who has applied to Lehigh ED? By my figuring we have roughly 120 hours until the mail come on Friday. I can not wait. I'm going crazy.

I applied ED.. the anticipation is killing me especially because there were six kids who applied ED from my school :/. Did anyone else do the V.I.E.W Lehigh program?

Wow. Thats a lot of kid. Our school has like three kids going RD. I'm the only kid I know going ED anywhere.

My senior class has 550 kids and we are a competitive school. We have 7 kids with a perfect GPA (which means 7 graduation speeches... :(...). Did you visit Lehigh a lot?

Thats going to be a long graduation. We've got like 300 kids in our graduating class. I don't know how many have 4.0 unweighted. I did visit the campus quite a lot. I pretty much know it like if I was there already. One of my real good friends is a sophomore there. I've been up to visit him and see the football games a few times. How about you?

I have been there a lot too and I really like it (more so than any other campus I have ever been to). I went there for two tours (one with each parent) and an interview. I have also been to a group info session and I took part in the VIEW Lehigh program where I actually got to sit in on two classes (Intro to Computer Science and Environmental Engineering Processes) as if I were actually a student (there was no introduction or anything.. I got handed a map and they said go to class).

I was going to do the V.I.E.W. program but completely forgot to sign up for it. By the time I remember everything was filled already.

My SAT scores stack up well against what they say their middle 50% scored (I got 740M and 670CR), but I somehow managed to not click save on the commonapp site so I submitted my application with an unedited paragraph on my activities with elementary spelling errors and another not so noticeable one in one of my supplement questions, but there is nothing I can do about it so I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping they just assume I can spell based on my essay and grades.

I've got the test scores too (730M, 720CR, among good ACTs and run of the mill SATII). However my GPA is what is holding me back big time, its just above a three. So I figured ED would show them my commitment and help me out getting in. Every little thing helps. Did you try emailed the admissions office and trying to fix your little mistakes?

I should have, but I figured it was probably too late. I didn't think it would make a difference whether or not I corrected them or not because it was after the fact. I could still email my admissions counselor and just tell him what happened. What is your opinion?

I think its always worth a shot, but by now I would think they're just finishing up the applications. They'll have to be in the mail soon.

I think I am going to hold off just because in the off chance that they were missed I don't want to bring attention to them. Also, like you said, I am sure they know who is going to be accepted and who is not going to be accepted.

Where are you from BTW?

I don't think the mistakes in your essay are going to be that much of a problem...since the rest of your application (stats and stuff) probably makes up for it =)

My actual essay is flawless (I have never read the same page of text more times in my life). It was the activities short write up and the second supplemental question.

hey! I applied early decision.. i cant wait until friday or saturday.... I attended the Diversity Achivers Program which was an overnight stay and a class visit along with a group panel discussion and absolutely fell in love.. So I hope ED works for me =)

Good luck to all of you!

Anyone else spending their Sunday writing a lab?

Biology IIAP eats weekends.

I'm from central Jersey. My actual essay was refined more then every other paper I've written before, combined. And CC can be quite distracting while trying to do a research paper.

This site is just distracting in general :P. I'm from South NJ (Cherry Hill).

So I did end up sending in my final version of the response to that question and I got an email back from my admissions counselor saying that my timing was good because decisions are mailed in 12 hours. So that means they are in the mail around 11:00 AM tomorrow.

Wow, that seems really soon. Although if there going out tomorrow they would have to know who is accepted and who isn't already. So your revised version isn't going to help you, is it? Thats jut what it seems to me.

Maybe if there going out tomorrow we'll get them before Friday. ::Crosses Fingers::
