Do any of you have the following stats : the acceptance rates for ED1 and ED2 for the class of 2019 at Pitzer College and Pomona college?
http://tsl.pomona.edu/articles/2015/2/21/news/6011-5cs-release-early-decision-results. For Pomona the Class of 2019 ED acceptance rate was 19.5% (versus 10% overall) and for Pitzer it was 29% (versus 12% overall).
I’ve never seen anything that breaks down ED1 vs. ED2.
@cascas If you are an unhooked applicant focus on the acceptance rate in regular decision.
The ED applicant pool is skewed toward preselected candidates. In small schools the numbers are pretty big. Those schools field 21 varsity teams, so the proportion of athletes is very high and they apply ED. Legacy also applies ED too.
