"educational expenses" or just tuition?

i have been offered full tuition scholarships at several schools (actually 2 are comprehensive--room and board, research grant, etc)...i won a couple of outside scholarships, one that is 2500/yr and one that is 1000/yr...i might be getting some others...if I go to one of the full ride schools, does this money just go down the drain?

and i know this depends on the scholarship, but in general, can you use them toward any educational expense--books, board, etc--or just tuition?

thanks so much!

same question: lets say you get a scholarship that covers room board, tuition, fees and you win an outside scholarship- can you use that for books, computer....

Look at the wording of the scholarship. Some say it could only be used for tuition, others can be used for the cost of attendance. Contact the scholarship agency for an answer.
