alright so i'm majoring in Electrical Engineering, which school would be best for me,
considering quality of instruction, internship opportunities, and the learning environment in general?

also, if I wanted to get my masters at another school, like let's say Cal or Stanford... would either undergrad school give me a better chance of getting in?...

UCSC has the better reputation then SJSU. Almost everyone who applies to SJSU gets in whereas UCSC is much harder. The people around you at UCSC therefore will be more 'studious.' Not to say that you will not find those at SJSU. Also, SJSU is a CSU, a commuter school, and at Santa Cruz, people come from all over.

UCSC will be a better environment. But don't think be any difference for grad school. SJSU has many connections in the silicon valley if you are planning to live in that area it won't be hard to find a job or internship opportunities. Also SJSU is know for Engineering and is ranked16 for non phd program and UCSC is not ranked in Engineering Programs w/ PHD.
