I received a “likely” decision too and I just got an alumni letter addressed to my parents today! It is from a bio major who went to Harvard med school and is now a resident. However, I did not receive a handwritten letter in the mail yet. Maybe it’s because I live on the west coast?

I haven’t recieved anything yet, crossing my fingers. I just need to be content with the likely or I’ll start panicking.
Does anyone know when we find out for real? April 1st?

clairede- I think we’ll find out the last week of March… but don’t quote me on it.

Maybe the letters come in waves? Maybe it’s too much tiring to hand-write so many letters all at once… Even if we don’t all get the letter from the adcom, I think all the likelies get a letter from a current student.

I read the Harvard reflection piece when I went to visit Wellesley last summer already, so the letter to my parents wasn’t as exciting.

sadie- i know how you feel, I keep wondering if I really got it or if somebody just made a mistake!

The letter to my parents came yesterday–the one from the bio major who graduated from Harvard med school–so I’m feeling better about it not being a mistake!

Shay33–I bet you’re right that handwriting that many letters probably takes quite a bit of time and that they can’t all come out at the same time.

Now I need to wait for the financial aid package to see if it all will be possible!

We are on the west coast. Received the handwritten note and the parent letter. Those of you you received likelies are definitely in. Don’t worry!

I haven’t gotten the note but just received the parent letter. But now I’m super nervous that if I do get in, I won’t be able to hack it. I’ve been able to float by in high school, becoming more and more relaxed about my standards of grades (All As to accepting a C in an AP class.) And Wellesley is, to be honest, terrifying smart and hardworking. How are people in general feeling about what happens after the acceptance, even if it’s not come yet?

I am the same way… I know I will have to work much harder in college than I ever have in high school. I think that many other incoming freshmen are in a similar position, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Everyone has to adjust.

I’m anxious because I keep hearing things about how high the stress level at Wellesley is.
I’m a procrastinator so school is pretty stressful for me-- a lot of doing homework at 4AM… I’m trying to change. ) :
Until late junior year I never really studied or worked hard for tests… I’ve learned a lot since then and so I’m rather motivated for the challenge of Wellesley, assuming the acceptance letter comes.
My friend’s older sister goes to Wellesley-- she was just telling me that her sister’s circle of friends are Smart –> Intelligent –> Genius –> SUPER GENIUS (her words)
: P

I’ve only worked for small things in my life, that rarely have to do with school. I really do not like the public education system, 7 hours of school plus 3 hours of homework. So I’ve taken hard classes and charmed my teachers so they would have subtle grade inflation.

Still no letter, but the (current school year’s) course catalog came today.

D got a phone call from a Wellesley alum yesterday. They are really courting those likely girls :)

^That’s awesome about the phone call!

I received a letter from a Wellesley student today. I just want Spring Open Campus to hurry up and get here!

lol they sure are~ and i’m totally loving it^^

i got a letter from a current student today :)

I got the alum letter too :)
