<p>I plan to do electrical engineering in college and wanted to get some input on which EE program is better, the one at RIT or at UR. Please explain why. Thanks.</p>

<p>I am doing engineering as well and I chose UR over RIT (I originally wasn't even looking at UR...) because I found UR has a much better social life and is not a "specialty" school. RIT focuses a lot on engineering and I wanted my other classes to not suffer. Also UR has a med school and I liked that aspect of it as well...</p>
<p>def. UR over RIT...not only because of prestige reasons and the fact that you get a better well rounded education at u of Rochester, but also student life and other aspects that go into college thought process are better at UR (better alumni connections, good parties, better location etc)</p>
