EECS vs IEOR

I'm interested in pursuing a path in tech entrepreneurship either in Silicon Valley or the Northeast area. However, I've been told that my resume basically screams IEOR (IE research, internships, etc.). Even though this is the case, I hope to go into tech entrepreneurship and/or computer science rather than management consulting.

So my question is: should I apply for EECS or just apply for IEOR? EECS is definitely a risk bc I don't know if I could get in.

Having a resume before college is impressive, but doesn’t mean much. Do what motivates you b/c it’s more or less clean state as you come to college. The difficulty of getting into a program is nothing compared to surviving the program. If you are really motivated to study a certain program, then your application will reflect your motivation.
