It wasn’t just my parents who earned money. My sister and I worked too.

Call up all of the schools and ask for the financial aid packages.

Your sister needs to file the FAFSA for this school year based on the income and assets of her custodial parent(s) (I am guessing this would be your mom. She would probably also be eligible for Pell and some subsidized stafford loans, which would relieve some of the burden off of your family.

You filled out a FAFSA and PROFILE. Your sister should also fill out a FAFSA, and if her school requires a PROFILE for aid, she should fill that out too. Did you indicate on your financial aid forms that there are the 2 of you in college?

Have CMU and Harvey Mudd come up with packages for you yet? The OOS schools are not likely to meet your need. The UI package is about as good as it gets or better for OOsers.

I think you had better pick up the phone and call the colleges rather than depending on email.

When you do get your aid packages, put the figures through this calculator so that you can determine which of them really is the best choice for you: [FinAid | Calculators | Advanced Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid)

Since there will be two students in college next year, your sister needs to talk with the financial aid office at her college to find out what they can do for her once she files the FAFSA.
