I’m toying with the idea of attending one of the “Eight of The Best” fairs next month with D2 who is just starting the college search process this summer. D1 did not go to this program (or any other college fairs). The main purpose for D2 would be to get exposure to some schools that could/should be on her list but that aren’t conveniently located near us or along a route we foresee scheduling in the future. There are five schools in particular that I would love for her to check out.
For those of you who have gone to this event would you recommend going even if we have to go out of our way a bit to attend? Can off campus information sessions such as this program be useful? Is there any possible way to get a feel for a school in this type of setting? I would sure appreciate insight (pros/cons) from anyone who has attended this program in the past. Thanks!
