@ruvuitton yeah history is a bit of a bummer for me. i find it interesting and all, but i just hated world history because it was so boring and pointless. i heard the profs. make it exciting sop it shouldn’t be that bad. Im just happy that i got into UCSd and that is what is helping me face this whole MMW thing! lol!

GL to you too!
imagine all the people from college confidential who got into ERC are in the same class. lol! that would be funny!

i know this is not the thread to ask this question but how can you change majors, i want to get out from political science to chemistry ( chemistry is a non-impacted major) so i think it will be easier to switch.

I am an IS-Econ and Music major at ERC and I personally love MMW. It helps that I love history =p
There is no writing in MMW 1.
I chose to cram almost all of my GEs into this year. All I have left are 2 more MMWS next year and regional study (which I’ll be going to France for =D ).
Don’t fret so much about the program. Yes, it is “writing intensive,” but you’re given ample time to write it, and it’s a step by step process (they go over everything you need to know/do in section with your TA, which is when you should listen [since your TA is essentially telling you how to get an A]). Most people complain about it because they decide to do it last second (I do =p but still pulled off an A on my paper <– not encouraged).
In my MMW classes, we didn’t need to learn all that many key terms or important dates, just general ideas.
So yeah.
MMW at ERC > other schools’ GEs =]

another thing about this darn MMW!
now i plan to be taking MMW 1,2,3 in the year fall 2011- spring 2012… are there specific professors i should target and quickly grab??

also for regional studies… you don’t need to go to that place, right? just curious
