elective credit

I have about 50 elective credit/transfer credits. What can these credits be used for? I noticed i still have to take a lot of classes and some prerequisite classes

Credits for which classes? From which school to which school? What’s your major?

Even if we knew these things, we couldn’t respond to your question accurately. Contact your transfer school to see how your credits will transfer, as they’re the only ones who will know for sure. We’re just guessing otherwise. :p

i transferred from Kingsborough Community College to New York City College of Technology, majoring in Computer Systems

Most of the classes did get transfer over, about 10 or so classes did not get transfer over and i only got some kind of free elective credit for them

my questions is, what is the free elective credits used for?

They’re used if you have any elective requirements that aren’t specified. For example, if your school requires 120 credits to graduate, and it specifies course requirements for only 96 of those credits (major requirements, gen ed requirements), those last 24 credits can then be filled using your free elective credit.
