I'm a potential business major and am currently taking a Business Law class at a JC for elective credits (but am thinking of dropping). My question is, is there an advantage in taking elective classes??? I was looking at the requirements for my major and nowhere does it say that I need to take elective courses (or am I missing something?). So am I just wasting my time here??? Someone please enlighten me...

I wouldnt take it unless you want it for your personal satisfaction. You need 60 non-business units to graduate, and since bus law would only transfer as general credit it wouldnt really be applied toward anything.

For the 60 non-business units, would that just be the basic business prerequisites + GE courses? Thanks.

Just GE's,non-business electives, the 3 english classes, and the 2 or 3 math classes.

you can take business electives but they arent very productive in terms of graduating quickly.

yeah I am probably going to take Business Law and I am in an Intro to Business class at a JC but it doesn't nothing for the Major, its just elective credit
