Electives 3000 level or above?

In Isis, it states that I need 18 credits of 3000 level or above electives that are outside my major (biology). What classes do students typically pick to fill these requirements? I always thought 3000 level or above was pretty much advanced level classes within an exclusive major?

Do students tend to minor in something to reach these requirements?

Thanks

bump, anyone?

When I was in biology liberal arts, i was going to minor in anthropology. There’s lots of 3xxx anthro classes that are considered pretty easy. Most of them also count as gen ed and writing requirements also.

However I decided to forgo that headache entirely and just switch to Bio Ag… best decision of my college career. ^_^.

axelz165, so then what do you pick as your 3000 level electives?

you’re not required to take 3xxx lvl electives. You have to take a few extra courses (economics, public speaking, advanced writing class) but other than thtat they can be filled up with random gen-eds. Alot better than dealing with 3xxx electives

These are some easy 3000 level or above classes that I have taken as electives.
SDS3482 Stress and Anxiety Management
SDS4410 Interpersonal Communication
EDF3110 Human Growth and Development

I’m reffering to the Biology (agriculture) major. Not the Bio (liberal arts) major.

You could take ANT3620, Skeleton keys, Chinese civilization and culture… the list is endless.

Hey,

Use [GatorSchedule.Net .:. Course Search](http://www.gatorschedule.net) to find classes… Pretty easy to find courses that probably aren’t well known.

Fair disclosure: I developed GatorSchedule, but I generate absolutely no positive revenue (technically its a money sink since I pay to host it, but thats neither here nor there ) from it. Its a useful tool that UF itself should have developed, but oh well. I only ask that if you like it you spread the word about it, and if you don’t, drop a comment as to why so I can improve it.
