as far as scholarships go, 2 years ago when my D applied she was not offered any, but March/April they then offered her . So sometimes being patient will work.

For business major just take the prerequisites and you can declare the major. No need to apply. Great business program.
My son got accepted - 32 ACT, 3.9GPA and was offered the Presidential Scholarship. Does anyone know if that scholarship can be used towards room/board/fees or only for tuition?
Did the scholarships and major info come in the digital acceptance letter via the portal or by the physical copy in the mail?
When can we expect to receive the physical packet in the mail?

Does anyone know if it’s worth trying for fellows if she surprisingly did not get a scholarship?? Shockingly actually…
@Berk2023, I know that one of our tour guides told us that that was her biggest regret, not applying for Fellows. She says that once she got in and talked to people about it, she thinks she could have been selected. I don’t know how their FA works…if they will award more merit later or not, but I will say compared to other schools, Elon seems to have less and lower merit available. So, maybe that means yes, give it a try. Or maybe that’s why the merit seems “tight” right now, because so much more is awarded with Fellows?

@TS0104 thanks!! Does anyone know if there any possibility for merit when it wasn’t mentioned in the portal? My daughter can’t attend unless she gets something- does she say that to the admissions counselor? It’s strange her stats led us to believe she’d get one of the scholarships…
@berk2023 ,I bet that you could call or email and see if other aid offers are coming out later. That is the case with another school of my son’s, Fordham…some scholarships were announced with acceptances, some come out later. Plus, the Fellows programs come with scholarships, right?
Does anyone know if housing priority at Elon is affected by when a student accepts and sends in deposit?
Yes! The ED students have first priority and then after that its by deposit timing. Fully refundable until may 1. Mine is already in!
Daughter accepted EA this week w/ a 31 ACT, 3.8 (UW) GPA, 5 AP classes, and tons of ECs like SCA Pres, managing editor of school paper, internship w/ marketing firm, NHS, part-time job. We also thought she’d be a candidate for a merit scholarships but was offered nothing. Seems like this is the case for many of us w/ similar stats. She won’t be attending w/out merit aid. Anyone know how often/if they offer it later? She’s also questioning whether or not it’s worthwhile to apply for Fellows. Are those usually given to students who were automatically awarded Presidential and Elon scholarships upon acceptance?

About putting down a deposit;How much do you need to put down all together to secure housing and how much is refundable. D is still waiting on so many more schools. Thanks @kgracey17

@berk2023 Right in your portal (where you logged in to receive the acceptance). There is a part if you scroll down that prompts you to pay the 500 deposit.
@citymama9 you put down 500 and I believe the 500 is entirely refundable before May 1
