I haven’t seen a forum for this, so I figured I’d make one!
2023 not 2033 obviously ?♀️
Talked to admissions. Our application (and I assume many others) are completed and under review. We should hear decision in mid March.
Same here. Talked to admissions and they said the application is completed and under review. I wonder if they review applications they are denying or just ones they are proposing to accept, defer.
I think this is the week that regular decisions come out.
Next week - 3/20.
Thanks. I was under the impression that it was 3/15.
Does anyone think it will come out early tonight
I think it’s likely considering EA came out a day early on the 19th.
Last year RD decisions were released at 5 pm on 3/20. The EA decisions this year came out at 9 pm on 12/19.
Hoping for tonight but thinking more likely tomorrow.
Good luck everyone!
When I talked to my admissions counselor, she said it usually comes out the day before it is scheduled to.
9 pm and nothing on portal - looks like it will be tomorrow.
They’re up!! Accepted
Accepted after an EA deferral.
Accepted!!!
D accepted and presidential $$! Yay1
S was accepted. I am just curious. How is Elon viewed as a university? I was surprised to read many comments that Elon is considered a school for kids at the bottom of the class and that it is not a highly regarded school. Congrats to everyone who got accepted. I know this is a stressful time for parents and kids.
I’ve read several places that Elon is up and coming. It is not elite, and the 4.0+ top of the class kids are not applying there, but that really doesn’t mean that it is a school for kids at the bottom. The average ACT is 25-29, SAT 1140-1330. My neighbor is a director at a local, well regarded LAC and says that Elon is very well regarded.
We were very impressed with the school, academics, and career development opportunities when we visited.
I can tell you from living in NC for over 30 years that Elon has gone from being a tiny college not many knew about, to a college that has become very well regarded and highly sought after by students. NC has boomed in residency over the past 20 years, one reason being our in-state tuition fees for schools like UNC-Chapel Hill & NC State. Because of this flock to NC other schools have upped their “game” knowing that the competition at UNC & State are very high, so Elon has been able to accommodate those students that were unable to attend in-state universities of high academics. Elon after Duke, Davidson, and Wake Forest would be the best private university to attend in NC.
Elon is only growing in popularity and will soon be in the same ranks as the other colleges I mentioned. It’s not an “easy” school to get into and each year more and more students are applying making the acceptance chances harder and harder. Hope this helps!
Yes, I think Elon is a very high quality college that is really on the rise. I think some of its programs are particularly strong – communications, education, and performing arts, for example. Perhaps not as strong in the sciences. Not sure about humanities.
