Narsil:
Seems to make sense (of course I'm just hoping I got the likely one xD)... this is all very interesting

just kidding, narsil answered my question ;)

My thoughts: If we're wrong, I may have to call Cal just to congratulate them on confusing some of the most intelligent, most bored minds I've ever met. :)

This is very intriguing lol, let's see how it unfolds. I never noticed it before, but now I see.

Hope we can crack this code lol :)

haha just for applicants next year
we should all post our decision and which email we got.
find the real correlation (if any)

@hopefullybright, LMAO!!

anyway, bring out the champagne! We really do deserve a mention by Cal for "solving" it.... atleast on their website. :D

Anyone from last year's accepted/rejected list can throw light on this???

yes, please!

It seems like most people that care enough to check UCB Forums online would be getting the likely letters... or so I like to think

what forums.. there are forums?

... oh.

I didn't get one. :(

agreed w/ dmission.
if we didn't get this email we wouldn't spend our time here now.

^ I didn't get the e-mail, :( but I never expected to get in, so I'm sticking around until I know what it means.

Even I had 0 hope of getting in; until I got into UCLA that is ... :(

My daughter got the "worth the wait" but thought everyone got it...
This stuff is almost worthy of a conspiracy theory...almost as good a time-waster as Minesweeper or Free Cell...can we keep this up until Thursday?

I think it would be unconscionable for the Berkeley admissions office to send the "worth the wait" to rejected students.

I haven't gotten a single email from them since Jan 29th when they thanked me for applying there... but I know i'm an automatic reject and applied there for the hell of it and I'm not planning on attending even if I somehow manage to get in haha :p

it would be horrible

Agree Kathyc--my D is cautiously optimistic as she should be; but still for a moment she was soooo excited to get it. Why send a personlized email to kids saying" wait --and it will be worth your while" sort of hint (dangling a carrot) to only be rejected

for those who got the "worth the wait" email, let's just keep our hope up(make us feel better right)
no matter what the decision will be, we still have 4 "hopeful" days right=]

good luck

I never received a single letter from UCLA, but got in.
Hoping for the same @ Cal(barring the MyBerkeley mail).
