oh okay, i wasn't aware of that...:] i thought people were saying that they're trying to get the people accepted to UCLA to wait...i guess they don't even know they got into ucla..yay lol

what the heck...
i got both version of emails...
and the scary part is the without "worth" part is the latter one....

^and THAT is where a UCB admissions officer spits coffee all over his monitor and goes "w t f?! .. oh ****, we messed up again!"

no..my bad...
without worth-3/15
with worth-3/22

i saw the link to the letter on their site.. how did you find that? was it shown when you logged in to the myapp thing?

lol dnduswo

i think its because of ucla...but i did not even get into la...dang..

No, LA's decsion should have no bearing on what Cal does..

I know they don't waitlist, but they do accept some people for the Spring term. So, WAIT messages could mean Spring?

without worth(3/15)

OUA-#00000003-APPSFRWAIT

its will be really good if i get in but i dont think i tried my best to be at cal..

All you have to do to find the link is go to the Cal site, click on undergraduate admissions, then click on the first link that talks about application deadlines, applying, and such. That's where you see the link that talks about the special letter to the 2008 class.

So, dnduswo ended up with the mysterious #00000001-APPSUNLOGGED e-mail. Interesting. #00000002-APPSUNLOGGED and OUA-#00000003-APPSFRWAIT are also sent out. Now the question is, what is the difference between receiving #1 and #2 (assuming that #3 wait just means that "worth the wait" is included)?

dnduswo--without worth-3/15--before UCLA decisions!
with worth-3/22--After UCLA decisions

By the way waht r ur stats?

Strange that you'd get two different versions...

Narsil
what i mean is that because ucla released their decision early, cal thought that many of their admitted student would lean toward la

seniormom99
my stats are not cal caliber....
3.9-1860-800-720-640....
again, im not a cal caliber student...

I got the e-mail on the 21st coded #3 on the bottom: "We're worth the wait."

cal caliber student? don't think like that

I think we have solved the Davince code(AKA CAL Vinci Code) for the OUA-#00000001-APPSUNLOGGED
000002Unlogged and 000003_wait

One can deduce the following:
1) Email sent on 3/15(now i dont think many have got it)
2) Email for people who have(may not have) logged it
3) Email for possible Accept???

dnduswo --Please dont talk of not being Cal Caliber!

Ah, so you got #1!!! size=-2[/size]

So, now I think it is:

#1: People who hadn't created an account by mid-March. They were asked to do so.

#2: Crap... don't give up hope just yet though.

#3: Sent as a 'likely letter' with the phrase "we're worth the wait!"

So.. thoughts?

sorry what do you mean by "logged it?"
haha i dont understand

BUT i got email #3

and honestly, i was talking to my friend who graduated last year...he said he got one of the emails and got rejected from berkeley
but i dont know which one of the three he got..

^just putting that out there
