Email from UCB admissions about Mar 27 decions?

seniormom99: I think so too. Now if only someone could convince the admissions office that it's Thursday...

dmission: No, I've checked several times through Websters and every other guide of the English language. Wishful thinking on your part perhaps?
Oh, and on a serious note, I haven't gotten an e-mail from Cal since Jan.

Yeah, it seems some haven't received any of the 3 emails...

are they really going to send anymore emails from now until thursday?
i was talking to my friend, he's an international applicant and he received the third email....

my friend did not receive the e-mail and she was already accepted by Cal through the regents scholarship

that makes sense
if she already knows her admission decision...she wouldn't get the email

But people with a Regents invite have got it too.

I doubt this means anything. I also go to an international forum; most of the people got the e-mail even though some lack in their numbers and EC's (especially when they're internationals). Plus I don't see too many people here who did not get one.

for those who can read Korean, go to cafe.daum.net/newrealsat

Wowee zowee, this is insane! I come back on this forum and people are flipping out even MORE about these emails! I think it's great that we (hopefully) deciphered this OUA 000001, 2, and 3 thing, but I think we should all just breathe and chill out for a sec! Berkeley will send out their decisions by Thursday, and whatever happens, happens. Besides, even if you don't get into Berkeley, it's definitely not the end of the world. All of you will be successful and amazing people :D

Sorry guys. Couldn't resist. I got number 3 as well.

I got the Regents invite and got number 3 - "worth the wait"

Poor juoh, you're message goes ignored. Oh well, I agree that we probably should calm down, but I'm far too involved in the mystery to back out now.

flutterfly_28:
thats a good start...

i just checked out the message on berkeley admissions site, and from the looks of it (aside from a different order of wording), its the same as the email, which kind of kills my hopes now cuz it seems to be generic.

so mean of cal to do this to us...

it's different wording though. that's the key...lol

i think the email means nothing...
http://students.berkeley.edu/admissions/general.asp?id=3677

dang.....

Just to add wood to fire:

I got the 0000003 email, my stats are:
3.9UW, 4.15UC , 33 ACT
accepted to UCSD, davis, regents @ irvine

^^^^^^^^^^
now im 100% convinced that the difference of letter means nothing...
see my above post...

Hm.... I believe my post actually correlates with the "theory" that a 3 email means accepted whereas a 2 email means rejected. a friend got a 2 email and was rejected from UCLA.

They're similar, but that still doesn't explain the difference amongst the emails.
Also, the website one doesn't say:
"We know you're hearing from other University of California campuses,
but before you give them your reply, please wait to hear from UC Berkeley: we're worth the wait!"

But who knows, I suppose they might've just sent 3 different emails to mess with us, right? xP
