just to make sure, what exactly does this so called "version 3" say?

kyle: I really think you'd look better in blue and gold than cardinal red :)

Kyledavid are you still in highschool?!?

Hahaha, I think so too. =)

lol, you didn't get that from post #361?

@Mina:
Not much. When you're sending a mass email to 50,000 people, I'd be surprised if you didn't have a few misfires.

so...i recieved NO email.

lol. i'm not going to lie. I'm worried.

"lol, you didn't get that from post #361?"

That's the post I'm responding too... never would have guessed it. Good for you!

so what does it mean if you DIDN'T get the email...i thought 2 was rejection

Heh, that's not the first time that's happened. For some reason, people assume I'm in college. (The way I type? What I know and say? What?)

What you DON'T say.

Hehehe =p

10char

to drsarah,

that's what i'm trying to figure out...

drsarah: Trust me, there is no email that means rejection. I didn't even bother to look up what "version" I have, because frankly I believe my fate lies in the hands of the UCB Office of Undergraduate Admission, not in the hands of a parent poster on College Confidential. Best of luck, I know you'll succeed wherever acceptances lead you!

kyledavid: I thought you were in college. Wow. You're really smart.

lol, when you messaged me before, I had the impression that you thought that. (Though many of my posts show that I'm not a college student.)

At any rate, let's agree that the email means nothing, y/y?

haha well you're def smart enough to be in college!

Email DEF means nothing. Thought it from the start, still think it 376 posts later ;)

Any more parents on here besides the OP?

Yes, the OP is a parent, so if you wanted to converse with students only, then you picked the wrong thread.

How anyone on here could not know that "kyledavid" is still a high school student after his nearly 6000 posts (including the ones on this thread) is simply baffling!

The biggest disappointment, however, is the fact that you students who believe that the e-mail(s) mean nothing have not provided any analysis to support your position.

"Where's the beef" guys? [clearly a reference that only us "ancient rear end"-types will get!]

I'm a parent and I didn't know (and I've been seeing kyles posts for awhile. Obviously I've missed quite a few !)

Yes, it's late, but FWIW, the original letter posted on UB website is now changed to include the verbiage "we're worth the wait" - so clearly somebody made a change this evening. When I first looked at it a few hours ago, the language was different from what my son's e-mail said. I say at this point we all just wait until Thursday when the system crashes because everyone will be logging on at 5 p.m. Good luck, and....sigh....go Bears.

;) well, to be fair, many of my posts have nothing to do with where I am.

Well, have you? It's really difficult to draw any conclusions based on such a tiny sampling size. There could be any number of other variables--for example, when the person last logged into his/her account. Or Berkeley could be sending them out still--it's another 4 days until decisions are out. They could be sending them by the alphabet, by region, or by the order in which the students made their accounts.

We have no idea. The best we can do is wait and relax. Que ser
