The site clearly states the evening of 3/27/08.

whatever
dont ruin our fun

Lol, come four o'clock, I'll be alternating between CC, Berkeley, CC, Berkeley!
Good times...

A program for Berkeley said it was at 3PM PST...

I'm just going from past experience on CC and it's kinda fun watching you all go thru what I went thru last year in trying to devine something from the Gods or channeling or maybe tunneling in some instances (and I'm not going to say this is a bad thing, or anything, because it is pretty exciting unless you faint!), but here are the CC stats at least for the past few years, totally based on time of posting:

2005 (3/31) at 5:46 p.m. (although the site went down two days before causing mass hysteria at pictures and "be back soon" messages, and a lot of mind-bending theories as to the reasons for it, so countless threads like here, lol)
2006 at 5:24 p.m.
2007 at 4:24 p.m.

Soooo, maybe you linear thinkers will ponder whether tomorrow decisions will actually come at 3:24 p.m. or some other such theories.

And hey, I suckered out over that stuff too, and even tho' I tried to get my heart to stop pounding, I had absolutely no mind over matter and went absolutely, completely Bezerkeley, just like u.

GOOD LUCK to you all -- You See (UC) Berkeley, and hope some of u will join rally committee -- best Cal Spirit of all!

AND, to those who make it, come to Cal Day (April 12th) and. . . .

GO BEARS!

Man... it'd be so awesome to get in. I'm starting to think more and I more I have 0% chance... :(

what are the chances ill get into Cal...being that my birthday is tomorrow. lol

wow, yayitsjane, you are getting on my nerves. i agree w/ whoever answered you earlier, "they can do whatever they damn please". please define "overqualified for berkeley"??? don't you have like a 19 something SAT score?? just relax...you're already in UCLA. gosh.

My friend got a call that he got admitted! They were from this Summer Program called Intercollegiate Academy (for CAL).

One more day!

Is it possible to get into Berkeley with a UC GPA below 4.0 or SAT below 2000, if it's for some major like English or something?

drsarah-
seriously.........

Putting down the English major now are we? Haha I applied for it. We'll see what happens. But to be fair, its all the same in arts and science.

drsarah,

WTH? Geeze, whoever said I was asking because I thought I was overqualified? Don't jump into conclusions with information you don't even know. I was wondering cause I've heard people with near perfect SATs scores and unbelievable ECs not getting the email. I'm trying to figure out this thing myself since nobody seems to care about it anymore. How about you try to imagine how my situation is right now and how nerve wracked I am. Sure, I got into UCLA, but I don't want to go there. I'm even considering going to a JC then transferring after 2 years to Berkeley...just to show how much I want to get into Berkeley and how important it is to me. I have my own reasons, and I don't need to share it with everybody on CC. Just mind your own business and let me be and let me ask whatever freakin question I want.

drsarah,

AND if you're so POd about people worrying so much about this email thing, why don't you just stay out of the thread?

What if all the people who got the email got rejected and the people who didn't get the email got in?

disproven :P

Not puting it down -- I just meant one that's not as popular. But in general is that college easier? (e.g. possibly do-able with below 2000 SAT or 4.0 gpa?)

That theory has already been disproved. Regents recipients have received the email.

UCLA was very clever. Today is the last day UCLA engineering admits can register for the engineering open house in April. UCLA seems to have timed this registration deadline to undercut Berkeley, which steadfastly refuses to release admission decisions until the 27th.

Another recent development... Northwestern, also ranked very high for D's engineering major (materials), released their decisions yesterday (preempting Berkeley's decisions) - D's admitted to Northwestern.

Berkeley's a little late to the game...

D got email #3.

And dmission, yeah its no problem. But the answer to your question is that your chances are the same regardless of which major you apply to within arts and science.
