<p>i heard that we get them in august during orientation. im not sure though.</p>
<p>Last I knew, email accounts are still set up during orientation. There's a lot to learn about the email program, and IT likes to make sure everyone gets a basic introduction to it.</p>

i don't want some lame email address with million digits at the end.</p>
<p>No, you don't get to choose your email address, but it will just be your first initial, all/part of your last name, and a single digit if and only if you share the first two elements with another faculty/staff/student.</p>
<p>It won't likely be stupid, but sometimes saying the whole thing like it's one word can create intersting new monikers.</p>
