emailing an admissions officer who never answered...will this be held against me?

I emailed an admissions officer at my top choice college asking if he would be attending a local school visit and in the email, I also mentioned my strong interest and that I am applying in the future. Did I ruin my chances by emailing him? I stated that I would love to have a conversation about the school and ask him any questions that I have about admissions. However, I never received a reply and I was wondering if this would hurt my application in any way. Would such an email be looked down upon or beneficial as it demonstrates a slight interest?

Oh yeah dude. He’s so ignoring you because he hates you. Your app is going right into the trash bin, no questions asked.

@BassGuitar‌ hopefully that’s sarcasm 8-|

Don’t worry about it. He probably didn’t respond due to numerous factors. Maybe he was busy. Or he quite simply doesn’t respond to non-urgent emails. Whichever it is, I’m sure he didn’t do it because he had a particular annoyance with your asking.

So again, don’t worry, and let it go. I’m sure come Decembe/2015, all will be well.

I’ve emailed three college representatives.

Only one responded. All three of the representatives were from the top 25 universities so I realize they’re busy and likely don’t respond due to receiving a multitude of emails and other factors that are out of my control.

The way I look at it, when they get my application they may look at the email, and I doubt they’re going to care whether it was responded to or not. Also, I doubt the college rep from your area will be the one to actually look at and judge your application anyways. So no, I wouldn’t worry about it man.
