I can't find any information about Early Action for Emerson.

What does it mean? What are the advantages?

I'm interested in the Writing and Publishing major, if that means anything.

wow - just saw this…Early Action for E,erson is NOV FIRST.
The information is on their website.
It means you can get an early acceptance (December, I believe) but it is not binding. You have the same commitment date as regular applicant but you are encouraged to accept or decline as soon as you can. It is generall assumed that if you apply EA that the school is your first choice. My D just submitted her EA to Emerson for Acting BFA - by far her first choice… Good Luck!

The main benefit of applying early admissions is that you might get an answer from the school in question soon, at which point you might be able to put off applying to other schools. If you’re certain Emerson is your first choice and you’re ready to complete the application today, there’s really no downside to applying.

On the other hand, if you’d be rushing to complete your essays and application, you’d probably fare better by waiting for their regular admissions deadline and submitting a more polished application.
