Hi everyone!
I have applied early decision to Emory and am starting to panic! Decisions come out on Thursday and I can’t seem to think about anything else. Does anyone know how much legacy has an effect on admission? I have a brother that is currently attending the school and am also on the friends and family list. My brother is active in his fraternigty and many clubs at Emory, and is in the business school with good grades.
Also, is there any chance of acceptance based on my scores?
My gpa is: 4.36
ACT: 31
I took 1 AP class last year (Psychology) and got a 5, and am taking 4 this year (Biology, Chinese, Calc AB, and Micro).
Over the summer, I took 2 college courses at Boston University and got a 4.0 grade.
Extracurriculars:
President of a peer leadership club, treasurerer of Chinese honor society, VP of FCCLA, soccer player, teachers’ assistant at my local religious school for first graders, active participant in my youth group, anchor on my school TV show
work experience:
job at an orthodontist office as a clincial assistant where I makre retainers, chart for the Doctor, greet patients, assist the doctor with brace bonding etc.
