Hey Emory students!

I've visited Emory a couple of times and I definitely love the vibe there! One question though: what do students do for fun? Is it a major party school or is it mainly academic, or a combination?

Any information would be great. Thanks!

I would say mainly academic but there probably is always something going on there, I visited on a Sunday/Monday and it might have been boring the vibe was definitely there.

If you’re not part of a frat will the party scene be dead?

Ashton, you visited the day after Dooley’s ball, one of the biggest parties of the year. If you had come out on Saturday night, your opinions about Emory probably would have drastically changed.

That being said, Emory is not a party school. I’ve been to parties at UCSB and UGA which put even the largest party days at Emory to shame. I’m still at Oxford so I’ve only been to three non frat parties at Emory’s Atlanta campus, but the parties seemed relatively tame.

Also khan, the vast majority of Emory students aren’t in a frat, and believe me they still party. You’ll be fine.
