Emory political science/IR

Sorry if my question is vague, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

How strong are Emory's political science and IR departments, especially compared to the Ivies and other schools in its range?

I am certain that the political science program is really strong (I’m a science major, but have some courses, and I loved them. My Arab-Israeli Conflict prof. was director of Mid-East affairs at the Carter Center, so knew what he was talking about, and even gave some inside information) I can’t measure it versus other institutions. I know a transfer from Northwestern that prefers the political science/History Department here. However, from my understanding, people prefer Georgetowne’s International Relations program to everybody, so I assume that they have a stronger program (opinions of it could be based upon reputation and perception though). Actually check out the departmental websites of schools that you are interested in because it is easy for me to give my opinion, but I cannot do a comparative analysis. It is not like I’ve taken political science classes at the Ivies and the other peers so I won’t sit here and tell you it’s better or worse than any of those.

I’m a Political Science major. It is unbelievably good. In addition to being one of the largest departments at Emory, PS is full of great professors with a range of class sizes and topics. I took the same class as bernie2012 and that class was only one of many that was good. I also like the distribution requirements for the major. It’s outstanding, but be prepared to work hard.
