One of Emory’s short answer essay topics is: What is an important challenge facing your generation in the next 50 years?
I was wondering whether this meant we had to identify a possible solution to overcoming the challenge? It’s a 150 word maximum essay so I want to know how I should structure the essay

It is important to let them take note of your thought process. The word max is a serious limit and a test of your skill to convey a concise, serious, but clear statement about your personal thoughts. I doubt they care what the actual issue is or whatever your solution. Focus on how well you craft your essay with such severe word max limitation, every word counts. JMHO PS Nobody can solve global warming, inequality of wealth distribution etc in 150 words.
