I posted this before but I haven't gotten any feedback. I'm really looking for some advice/opinions-please help!

It's decision time and I'm having a really hard time narrowing down my choices. Just for some background, I am interested in science, possibly pre-med. I come from a public HS in New England. I've been accepted to: Emory; Villanova (honors program, some merit aid); Bucknell; Wake Forest. I am also a dancer and am interested in being in a jazz/ hip-hop type dance team, but not one that has too big of a time commitment. Any advice on pre-med programs/ acceptance to med school/ dance team/ study abroad as a science major would be greatly appreciated.

Emory is by far the “best” schools out of them all. I quote best because it is only my opinion, however, I feel that it is a fact that Emory has a lot more prestige.

I can’t speak for Bucknell, but I visited WF and am very familiar with Nova. Definitely Emory over WF and Nova (and probably Bucknell). When I visited WF, I could tell the kids did love the school and had a lot of school spirit, but the academic “spirit” just wasn’t there. I’m sure the case is the same with Nova. Take Emory over the other 3, but if you can, visit all of them.

My son was accepted to all four of those schools, and choose Emory. I like all four of those, but I think Emory offers a richer experience. Also, at that time Bucknell would not let freshmen leave town until the Thanksgiving break.

As to your specific questions:
Emory has a popular bioscience program in Paris during the summer. It’s separate from the French culture/language program and all the classes are taught in English.
There are a number of dance opportunities at Emory, including a major and a number of 1 credit hour classes that are frequently taken by non-majors for exercise and/or fun.
