Employment??

Hi guys, I'm looking at civil engineering undergraduate programs in the US, and am aiming to enter schools like Michigan or Texas. I have this dream to eventually work and live in the US after graduation (I might pursue a Masters degree if possible before entering the workforce), and this would be a scenario at least 5 years later. I've heard that in the current US economy, chances for an international to get a job here, get an H1B visa and eventually be a US citizen, are slim. Would this be the same case 5 years later?

I want to live the American Dream, and I was wondering if there are any tips for me to maximize my chances of eventually landing a job and getting an H1B visa 5 years later. Thanks!

There is no evidence whatsoever that the H1B process could be simplified in the time frame that you have. You should expect things to stay the same, or to get worse. If you come to the US to study, please be sure that you can use that degree at home, or in another country.
